Everyone is Welcome

Everyone is welcome hereβ€”but if you're part of a group that's often underrepresented in shared spaces, you are especially welcome. That includes families, couples, localsℹ️Yes we host
locals as well!
, younger travelers (under 20), older travelers (over 45), people of color, all women in general, anyone who is not a cis manℹ️Someone who does
not necessarily
need to identify
as a man
, lgbtq+ and anyone who feels lonely 😊.

We aim to keep a good balance so that these groups feel comfortable and safe. If you're not part of one of these groups, just check in with us before coming to make sure the mix is right. Thanks for helping us keep the space welcoming for all.

Disclaimer

We are not your typical hostel – we are a free, community-run space built on the values of global friendship, mutual support, and active participation. If you're only looking for a place to sleep, this may not be for you. But if you're excited to meet people from all over the world, live together in one big cozy space, and contribute to something beautiful, welcome home.

πŸŒ…

Active Morning

In the mornings we all wake up around 7-9am pack up together and transform our 'sleeping space' to a communal shared space to socialise and get to know one another. But FIRST before all that fun stuff it is mandatory for everyone to help clean up and do some tasks around the house. eg. bathroom, kitchen, floors.

😌

Feel at Home

As soon as you arrive, please feel and act like you already live here for a long time. From the beginning, you're part of the group and not like a guest!

  • We like to be in bed by 10pm and get ready our beds around 9pm.
πŸ›Œ

Bedding

  • Take fresh sheets from the shelf when you arrive.
  • Use the same for the entirety of your stay.
  • When you're done with them, put them into the blue "dirty bag" - regardless of when you leave.
  • If you are leaving early in the morning make sure your best buddy takes care of this for you.
  • Do not use a mattress/pillow/blanket/duvet without a sheet/case/cover!
🀼

Shared Responsibilities

We expect everyone to contribute to household tasks, which include:

  • Using the dishwasher, tidying up the clean things inside and refilling it with used items.
  • Cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, using the vacuum cleaner in all areas.
  • Doing laundry (washing, drying, folding)
  • Bringing out the trash
πŸ›€

Bathroom Etiquette

  • Please take your towels with you to the room and do not leave them in the bathroom to dry!
  • It would be amazing if you clean any hair from the shower after every single time, even if it's not your hair.
  • No one is to shower before 9am or after 9pm.
πŸ’Ό

Luggage Storage

  • Please always bring your luggage to the basement.
  • Only keep your daily needed items in the shared room.
β™₯️

Community Spirit

We expect everyone to help each other and not hesitate to ask for help πŸ’–

For example: "Where are the sheets?" "Where is a good place to go sightseeing?" "Which supermarket is cheapest?"
